GENESYS 320 NON-OXIDIZING BIOCIDE

 

 

 

Genesys 332 is a combination of highly active biocides for control of a wide range of bacteria, fungi and algae in industrial re-circulatory water systems. The product provides a wide spectrum of control and is extremely effective in controlling sulphate reducers, nitrifying bacteria and slime forming bacteria.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CHEMICAL FEEDING AND CONTROL

 

Genesys 332 can be directly fed from the container into the basin of the cooling water system or at any other point where good mixing can be assured. No special feeding arrangement is necessary.

 

While dosing Genesys 332, stop blow down and ensure a contact time of about 8 -12 hrs. For best results, it is advisable to give a heavy blow down after this contact time to remove dead biomass from the system.

 

Effective dosage will vary depending upon system operating conditions and will be specified by the technical representative servicing the facility.

 

SAFETY AND HANDLING

 

Do not use in potable water systems or where contamination of potable water may occur. Genesys 332 is toxic to fish. In cooling water systems, Genesys 332 is slowly hydrolyzed to non-toxic products. Most of these products are volatile and are stripped off from the system, thus posing no effluent problems.

 

• Genesys 332 may cause skin and eye irritation.

• It is harmful if taken internally.

• In case of contact, flush the affected area with plenty of water.

• In case of prolonged contact, flush with plenty of water and get prompt medical attention.

• In case of ingestion, induce vomiting by administering warm salt water or any other emetic and get medical attention.

• Contaminated clothing should be thoroughly washed before reuse.

• Use of protective rubber gloves is recommended while handling Genesys 332
