GENESOL 721 - ACIDIC MEMBRANE CLEANER
REMOVES METAL OXIDES AND INORGANIC SCALES

 

 

Genesol 721 is a low foaming, multi-component, powder cleaner for membrane systems.

It is designed to reduce differential pressure, increase flux and improve salt rejection.

The blend of chelating acids removes oxides of iron and manganese plus calcium carbonate scale.

It is also effective in removing other metallic foulants such as aluminium.

APPLICATION

Genesol 721 is highly effective when used as a 1% - 2% solution with alternating cycles of circulation and soaking for periods of 2 - 3 hours.

The high ionic strength solution creates osmotic effects which attract permeate back through the membrane helping to break up and release deposits from the surface and so enhance the chelating action.

After cleaning, the membrane system should be flushed with chlorine-free permeate water until reaching neutral pH.

Genesol 721 is readily dissolved in water.

 

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Genesol 721 is a complex of chelating acids and osmotic agents which is classified as non-toxic. Low pH solutions are corrosive against carbon steels and concrete so pumping equipment, piping and storage tanks must be constructed of acid-resistant materials. Observe all safety precautions detailed in the Material Safety Data Sheet which is available upon request.

 

PACKAGING

Available in 25 Kg Pails and 1,000 Kg bulk bags.

The shelf life of Genesol 721 is 2 years under normal conditions. Ensure the packaging remains sealed and the Genesol 721 remains dry.
