GENESYS 330 BIOCID- NON-OXIDISING BIOCIDE

 

 

 

 

 

Genesys 330 is a specific biocide for the control of bacteria, fungi and algae in industrial cooling systems. It is based on an organo-bromine compound, which slowly releases bromine. This action of the product and its non-foaming nature makes it a very effective biocide in controlling microorganisms in both open and closed re-circulatory cooling water system. CHEMICAL FEEDING AND CONTROL

 

 

Genesys 330 can be directly fed from the container into the basin of the cooling water system or at any other point where good mixing can be assured. No special feeding arrangement is necessary.

 

Stop blow down after dosing Genesys 330 to provide adequate contact time. For best results, it is advisable to give a heavy blow down after 8 – 10 hours of dosing to remove dead biomass from the system.

 

Effective dosage will vary depending upon system operating conditions and will be specified by the technical representative servicing the facility.

 

 

SAFETY AND HANDLING

 

 

Do not use in potable water systems or where contamination of potable water may occur. In cooling water systems, Genesys 330 is slowly hydrolysed to non-toxic products, which are biodegradable thus posing no effluent problems.

 

Handling:

 

• Genesys 330 may cause skin and eye irritation.

• It is harmful if taken internally.

• In case of contact, flush the affected area with plenty of water.

• In case of prolonged contact, flush with plenty of water and get prompt medical attention.

• In case of ingestion, induce vomiting by administering warm salt water or any other emetic and get medical attention.

• Contaminated clothing should be thoroughly washed before reuse.

• Use of protective rubber gloves is recommended during handling of Genesys 330.

 

 

PACKAGING

 

Genesys 330 is packaged in 30 / 50 L carboys and 210 L HDPE barrels.
